About Me

I am a remote Research Associate at Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka India, supervised by Prof. Shyam Lal. My work is focussed on analysis of high resolution satellite images for identification of land cover objects using deep learning approaches.

Previously, I pursued my Ph.D. at the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, India, under the supervision of Dr. Shyam Lal and Dr. A.V Narasimhadhan. My thesis was focused on "Object Extraction from Remotely Sensed Aerial Images". Before joining NITK, I graduated with Master's and Bachelor's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, India.

Research Interests

Remote Sensed Aerial Image Analysis, Satellite Image Analyis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning.

I focus mainly on developing of deep learning based algorithms for various image processing tasks, Segmentation and Change Detection. The different image types that I emphasize are remote sensed aerial images and satellite images.
